I am...
- a graduate student, currently pursuing a PhD in
Information Science & Technology at Syracuse
University's School of Information Studies. I
received my Master of Science in Information in April 2007 from the University
of Michigan School of Information. My BA in Mathematics was granted
by Alma College in 2000.
- a photographer;
I particularly enjoy lo-fi and vintage film cameras. My
work has appeared in the New York Times and in Net Magazine, as well
as in juried exhibits.
- a knitter with
over 20 years' experience. I prefer to make functional objects such
as garments, and I do a little handspinning with
a drop spindle as well. The design work of choosing materials
and customizing patterns is an interesting and rewarding challenge.
- a former web analytics professional with a few publications
(see my CV) on the topic of web analytics for
information architecture and persona design. I was one of the first
contributors for the University of British
Columbia's Award of Achievement in Web Analytics.
- not for hire!
