IST 335, Introduction to the Information-Based Organization (Fall 2007) Designed four integrated lessons to enhance introductory organization studies course; lesson plans included additional readings, teaching notes, in-class exercises, and assignments. Ran an in-class simulation exercise related to stress management.
IST 972, School Media Practicum (Fall 2007, Spring 2008) Responsible for certification recordkeeping, online course administration, and discussion board support for school library media practicum seminar section.
IST 668, Literacy Through School Libraries (Spring 2008) Responsible for online discussion board support and resolution of student concerns, aspects of course administration including some course site design and management, and evaluation of student work; received thank-you messages from students for grading comments on written assignments.
IST 400/600, Science Data Management (Spring 2008) Worked with instructional team of a new NSF-funded course with a dual audience of undergraduate and graduate students. Assisted in the development and implementation of quizzes for online delivery, evaluated student group project assignments, and delivered guest lecture on data analysis.
IST 500, Distributed Collaboration and Emerging Technologies (Summer 2008) Worked in collaboration with the course professor to develop a syllabus for a new special topics course with diverse student audiences. Selected course readings, developed an integrated series of group project assignments to develop distributed collaboration business plans for real-world clients, planned lab sessions and identified additional enrichment opportunities, and set the course calendar.
IST 777, Statistical Methods in Information Science and Technology (Fall 2008) Worked with course professor to redevelop doctoral statistics course to move from a standard basic psychology statistics course design toward a course in quantitative analytical thinking.
